E3 is just around the corner and this year should be a great one. I'll of course be posting about it as it occurs but, for now, here's what I think will happen.
Sony have been feeding us details for some pretty big exclusives during the run up to this year's E3 which begs the question "what will they reveal at E3?". The rumour is that there will be 20 new games but the confusing thing is that they refer to them as "gaming experiences" so they might not be games at all. It's pretty reasonable to expect a slew of Vita games because, let's face it, they could use a few more, and there may even be a price cut for it.
Microsoft will show off Halo 4 as well as a shed load of new Kinect games and chances are many more hardcore gamers, like I did last year, will probably jump ship to Sony but its ok because Microsoft will continue to grow into the multi-media and casual markets.
The 3DS will have some incredible new games shown off and will have an incredible year. Now, for the interesting part. The Wii U. I think that Nintendo will have some killer first party games to reveal, some that we know about and some that we don't. I even think they will calm our fears of a lack of third party support. The thing that they will struggle to do however is convince everyone that when the PS4 and Xbox 720 are released that they will still be relevant, in terms or power and third party support. If they can't do that then their sales will plummet before they have even begun.
