At least year's E3 Nintendo unveiled the Wii U and it's revolutionary tablet based controller. They promised that the way we play games would change and, from what they've shown this year, this wasn't an empty promise.
At last year's E3 Microsoft had no such controller revolution, at this year's E3 however they announced that their new Smartglass app will allow tablets to contain things from games such as maps and inventories. Does this sound familiar to anyone else, or is it just me?
Also during this year's E3 Samsung announced that Gaikai will be integrated into their Internet TVs and cloud based gaming will have a new platform. A couple of days later and, surprise surprise, OnLive have announced the same plan but with a different TV company.
This year's E3 may have, so far, been a mixed bag but the copycats are doing a damn good job of providing some amusement by trying desperately to differ their product from their rivals' product.
