E3: Sony Save The Vita

Sony are in massive trouble, they are in huge debt, their stock value has plummeted and the Vita and Move are failing. They needed a good conference this year. And, although it was quite bland, it was chock full of new and exciting games for PS3 and PS Vita.

The Vita is getting a Call of Duty Black Ops tie in, as well as an Assassin's Creed 3 tie in. It is also getting PS One Classics and cross play functionality thanks to PS All Stars. In effect it's getting everything that it needed to make people want it.

The PS3 is also looking good, with gameplay for the Last of Us getting everyone very existed and God Of War Ascension getting a release date. There was also yet another new IP unveiled in the shape of Quantic Dreams' Beyond.

They have even made a good deal with J.K Rowling for a Move game which, although is likely to be terrible, will probably sell well because of Harry Potter fans.

In short, although they are still a troubled company, they are at least making sure that the PlayStation brand is exceptionally strong and I for one am looking forward to the year ahead.

  1. The ups, downs some say its good some say not of the Vita. Reckon its still slowly making headway and with the news that its getting a Call of Duty Black Ops tie in, as well as an Assassin's Creed 3 tie in plus others too can only be good. I say stick with it it's gonna make it .... eventually
